Nowadays, blister plastic products are widely used in toys, masks, gifts, hardware, medicine, electronics, food and daily chemicals, etc. The plastic raw materials used in plastic blister packaging boxes are not the same for different needs. Here, We Plastics The factory came to tell you what are the commonly used sheets for plastic blister packaging boxes?
The sheet used for blister packaging is called rigid film or film. Commonly used are PET (polyethylene terephthalate) rigid film, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) rigid film, and PS (polystyrene) rigid film.
PET is a milky white or light yellow highly crystalline polymer with a smooth and shiny surface. Creep resistance, fatigue resistance, good friction resistance, low abrasion and high hardness, with the greatest toughness among thermoplastics; good electrical insulation, low temperature influence, but poor corona resistance. Non-toxic, weather resistance, chemical resistance, high moisture absorption, drying before molding is necessary. Resistant to weak acids and organic solvents, but not immersed in hot water and alkali.
PS hard film has low density, poor toughness, and is easy to burn. It will produce styrene gas (a harmful gas) when burned, so it is generally used to produce various industrial blister trays.
PVC hard sheet has moderate toughness and is not easy to burn. It will produce chlorine when burned, which will have a certain impact on the environment. PVC is easy to heat and can be sealed with a sealing machine and a high-frequency machine. It is the main raw material for the production of transparent plastic products.
